The Healthcare Financial Management Association and MedAssets, Alpharetta, Ga., said they have stuck a three-year strategic relationship and sponsorship deal to develop ways to improve the financial health of hospitals. The deal includes development of educational material on cash flow improvement, revenue enhancement and supply chain management for HFMA members and the industry, the organizations said in a joint announcement. A specific area of focus will be on the supply chain revenue cycle and its impact on cash flow. MedAssets is a group purchasing organization and revenue management company. -- by Cinda Becker
