HealthSouth Corp., Birmingham, Ala., completed its $115 million sale of 162-bed Doctors' Hospital, Coral Gables, Fla., to Baptist Health South Florida after settling a lawsuit filed by a foundation. The Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation filed a lawsuit in August, alleging that the sale jeopardized some $350,000 in annual payments made to the foundation by HealthSouth as a condition of HealthSouth's 1992 purchase of the hospital. Details of the settlement were not disclosed. -- by Patrick Reilly
