Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has been named the 2003 winner of the prestigious Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence for achievement in implementing computerized patient records. The 373-bed pediatric facility assembled a clinical information infrastructure that has reduced medication errors by 35%, decreased verbal orders by 50% and virtually eliminated transcription error mistakes.
