Due to the massive blackout that left much of the Northeast without power and knocked out the Crain Communications Internet server in Detroit late last week, the deadline to take the sixth annual Modern Physician/PricewaterhouseCoopers survey of executive opinions on key information systems issues has been extended one week. The survey will remain online through Friday.
The survey is intended to gauge the level of satisfaction among physician executives with healthcare information technology in their practices, hospitals and other healthcare institutions and to understand the benefits and headaches that come from implementing new information systems in healthcare provider organizations.
This year, for the first time, the survey is being conducted exclusively online. Survey respondents are eligible to win a $250 American Express gift certificate.
Modern Physician will feature the results and analysis of the 2003 survey in the magazine's November issue.
