House Democrats named the final members to the House-Senate conference committee that will be charged with negotiating a compromise Medicare reform bill, expected to be long and contentious process. House Democrats selected Marion Berry (Ark.), John Dingell (Mich.) and Charles Rangel (N.Y.). They join five House Republicans named last week: Tom DeLay (Texas), Michael Bilirakis (Fla.), Nancy Johnson (Conn.), Billy Tauzin (La.), and Bill Thomas (Calif.). The Senate Republican members are: Bill Frist (Tenn.), Charles Grassley (Iowa), Orrin Hatch (Utah), Jon Kyl (Ariz.), and Don Nickles (Okla.). The Democrats are: Max Baucus (Mont.), John Breaux (La.), Tom Daschle (S.D.) and John Rockefeller (W.Va.). -- by Tony Fong
