Sam Brooks, 64, chairman and CEO of Nashville-based Renal Care Group, died March 20 of cancer. William Johnson, 58, replaces him as chairman while a search for a CEO is conducted. ... Marilyn Monk, 47, has been named COO and chief nursing officer at Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital. ... Keith Page, 45, has been promoted from senior vice president to president and CEO of Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill. He replaces R. Coert Shepard, who retired. ... Ron Jacobson, 55, is the new president and CEO of Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, S.D., replacing Dale Stein, who died in October 2002. ... Louis Katz, 53, director of Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, Davenport, Iowa, was installed as president of America's Blood Centers, succeeding Jeanne Dariotis, who completed her two-year term. ... Edith Behr, 48, has joined the public finance group of Moody's Investors Service as a vice president/senior analyst in the regional ratings team. Behr most recently served as executive director of the New Jersey Health Care Facilities Financing Authority, a state agency that issues municipal bonds to finance healthcare facilities construction. ... Robert Masi, a physician with the Eye Medical Clinic of Santa Clara Valley, San Jose, Calif., and attending ophthalmologist at O'Connor Hospital, San Jose, has been elected chairman of the O'Connor Hospital Foundation.
