The survey covered all 50 states but focused on 12 the AMA has identified as being in med mal crisis: Florida, Georgia, MIssissippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.

The majority of plans say soaring med mal rates have had the greatest impace on OB/GYN and surgical and fees and are concerned about defensive medicine.
