Penn State Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine unveiled a 10-year, $500 million master plan that calls for a free-standing children's hospital and cancer treatment center as part of more than 832,000 square feet of new construction. The plan also includes separate facilities for cardiac care, research and education, and the addition of 99 beds to the 400-bed hospital, the Associated Press reported. Funding has not been secured.
