You know that good feeling you get from a job well done? Well, we were almost giddy here Jan. 16, when we launched our redesigned, overhauled and greatly enhanced Web site, ModernPhysician.com. It was grins a-poppin' again a week later, when we rolled out our new e-mail newsletter, MP Stat. And our topic-specific news alert, MP Point of Care, should be out by mid-month, but you can sign up for it now when you subscribe to MP Stat.
If you haven't seen the new ModernPhysician.com or MP Stat, I proudly invite you to visit our new home page. Please take a few seconds to register. (And subscribers, please bring your copy of Modern Physician magazine with you; the subscription code on the mailing label will help you register faster and give you access to a broader array of free services available to subscribers). Then spend a few minutes browsing.
And while you're at it, please sign up for MP Stat and MP Point of Care.
Here's what you'll find:
ModernPhysician.com looks much better-brighter, cooler, cleaner-and it's much easier to read and navigate. You'll see we've beefed up our news section. Each day, we'll be posting a half dozen or so of the top news stories, either written by us, by other Crain healthcare writers, or published elsewhere and chosen by our editors. All will focus on your special needs as busy physician executives.
We've overhauled our archive search engine, too. It now allows users to quickly search our Web site and our magazine archives, either from a pick list of topics we've provided or by keywords you can type in yourself.
Click on the words "Make us your home page" on the khaki-colored top navigation bar, and you'll have the Web's only source of "essential business news for physician executives" delivered to your desktop first thing when you turn on your computer.
Click on the login/registration link on the upper left side of the page, register and sign up for MP Stat, which we will e-mail to you at 2 p.m. Central time each business day. MP Stat is a single page containing the day's top headlines and a short summary of each story.
While you're registering, why not sign up for MP Point of Care, our topic-specific e-mail alert? With MP Point of Care, you choose the topics you're most interested in, and we'll e-mail you any stories we produce related to those topics the moment we post them to our Web site.
A lot of talented people contributed to this effort, but the real stars were Katherine Downing, our Webmaster; Jason Warholic, our art director; and Corinne George and Marc Mathies, our liaisons with the new media department at Crain Communications headquarters in Detroit.
Super job, folks.
