University Hospitals Health System, Cleveland, named Thomas Zenty III as its new president and CEO, replacing Farah Walters, who retired in June. Zenty, 47, is currently COO and executive vice president for clinical care services at Cedars Sinai Health System, Los Angeles. UHHS Chairman Henry Meyer III praised Zenty in a written statement, saying, "His keen sense of the healthcare industry, his deep respect for healthcare professionals, his long-held commitment to community service and his strong managerial skills make him an ideal choice." Since Walters' departure, Fred Rothstein, M.D., has been acting president and CEO at the system. -- by Mark Taylor
