Pharmacy benefit manager Medco Health Solutions, Franklin Lakes, N.J., agreed to pay $42.5 million and make certain changes to its business practices to settle a group of class-action lawsuits alleging that it favored drugs manufactured by its owner Merck & Co. Medco denied the allegations and said it wants to settle the lawsuits to avoid "the potential distractions" of a protracted dispute.
