A bill expected to be signed by President Bush would extend a 1996 prohibition on annual and lifetime dollar limits on mental health coverage through 2003. The prohibition was set to expire Dec. 31. Separate legislation introduced by Sen. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) and the late Sen. Paul Wellstone (D-Minn.) would ban all limits on mental health coverage. That bill has not been passed. An item in yesterday's Daily Dose was not clear about which bill is before Bush.
