Memorial Healthcare System, Hollywood, Fla., received approval from the state's Agency for Health Care Administration to build a 100-bed hospital in West Miramar, Fla. Construction will begin next year with completion of the hospital projected for 2005. The Cleveland Clinic, Weston, Fla., and Westside Regional Medical Center, Plantation, Fla., had filed petitions against the project, arguing the new hospital would deplete the supply of doctors. -- Patrick Reilly
