If more is better, hospital trustees are in the right place. In an increasingly complex and challenging business climate, hospital boards are expected to know more, do more and accept more responsibility.
Serving as a hospital trustee is an honor. Doing it well takes time, effort, commitment, talent and teamwork. Each year, Modern Healthcare salutes outstanding trustees who have helped their organizations evolve and succeed at a time when resources are tight yet expectations are high. Our partner in the project is the Governance Institute, a La Jolla, Calif.-based company that provides information services to healthcare executives, trustees and physician leaders.
We will give two Trustee of the Year awards: one for a healthcare organization with fewer than 250 beds or annual revenue of less than $75 million, the other for a larger provider.
