Earnings reports. National Health-Care Corp., Murfreesboro, Tenn., reported first-quarter earnings of $2.4 million, or 21 cents per share, unchanged from the year-ago quarter. Revenue fell 14% to $99.3 million, mostly because of the firm's October divestiture of 12 nursing homes and three assisted-living centers, all in Florida. National's facilities include 74 nursing homes and 33 home health agencies.
InSight Health Services, a diagnostic imaging chain based in Newport Beach, Calif., said earnings doubled to $9.5 million, or 99 cents per share, for the nine months ended March 31, compared with $4.6 million, or 49 cents per share, in the year-ago period. Revenue grew 12.7% to $157.8 million. Insight operates centers in 28 states.
