Modern Physician is expanding its editorial staff and increasing its publication schedule from monthly to biweekly in January 2001.
The newest member of the reporting staff is Neil Versel, who previously was managing editor for Starks News Service Interactive, an online source of information on the automotive, farm and construction machinery industries. Versel will be covering finance, economics, and pharmaceuticals and medical education.
He joins staff writers Joseph Conn, who came to Modern Physician this summer, and Rebecca Lentz, who sinice 1999 has been covering legal and regulatory issues, managed care and physician unions.
Lentz previously was the healthcare reporter for newspapers in Wilmington, N.C., and Bismark, N.D.
Conn, who had a 20-year career at the Post-Tribune in Gary, Ind., covers technology, e-healthcare and quality issues.
