We know that many of our physician readers have strong opinions about today's healthcare issues. We'd like to encourage you to share those thoughts with otherModern Physician readers through our Commentary section.
Our Commentary columns are limited to timely topics of interest to the physician audience. We're looking for articles that have a distinctive point of view about such matters as the state of managed care, ethics, policy issues, physician-hospital relationships or physician leadership.
We favor articles by physician executives or leaders of physician organizations, such as state and local medical societies, specialty societies or managed care plans.
The best way for us to determine whether your idea matches our needs is for you to provide us with a brief summary or outline of what your article might say.
A summary should not exceed two or three paragraphs. An outline should list the key points you plan to cover in your article and a statement of why this topic is of interest to our readers.
Please send ideas to Karen Petitte, editor, Modern Physician, 740 N. Rush St., Chicago IL 60611. Fax to (312) 649-5393. Or e-mail us at [email protected] We look forward to hearing from you.
