Northeast Arkansas Management Co., Jonesboro, has repurchased the Northeast Arkansas Clinic from PhyCor, a Nashville-based physician practice management company, for undisclosed terms.
The management company, made up of the 50 physicians who operate the multispecialty clinic, sold the clinic to PhyCor in 1995.
Separately, PhyCor reported that it lost $445 million, or $5.91 per share, in the year ended Dec. 31, 1999, compared with a loss of $111.4 million, or $1.55 per share, in 1998, the company reported. Revenue held steady at $1.5 billion. The loss reflects a $431 million charge for asset revaluation, clinic restructuring and merger expenses.
