A relatively new Nashville-based hospital company has announced additions to its management team.
Essent Healthcare, a company formed in June by former Healthtrust Chief Operating Officer W. Hudson Connery Jr., has named Michael Davis, 41, senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Since 1993 Davis was senior vice president and CFO at Nashville-based Behavioral Healthcare Corp.
Essent has also named Richard Salerno, 47, senior vice president of hospital operations. Most recently Salerno was a division vice president at NetCare Health Systems, another for-profit Nashville hospital company. Salerno will oversee Essent's operations. Salerno was one of MODERN HEALTHCARE's "Up and Comers" in 1989.
Essent received a $50 million equity commitment from venture capital firm Thoma Cressey Equity Partners, Chicago, when it was launched. The company has yet to buy any hospitals.
