ALBANY, N.Y.-The Western New York Healthcare Association, one of six regional healthcare associations in New York, is merging with the Healthcare Association of New York State. The HANYS board of trustees approved the merger, making the WNYHA a subsidiary of the Albany-based association. The regional association, which has 53 members, will maintain its Tonawanda, N.Y., office. The consolidation is designed to improve legislative advocacy in Albany and Washington and reduce duplication.
