Thank you for your recent story regarding the merger of the Healthcare Forum and the publishing subsidiaries of the American Hospital Association into Health InfoSource ("The forum is with them," Aug. 31, p. 2).
The Healthcare Forum has always represented practical, leading-edge opportunities in healthcare delivery. More than any organization in the country, it has helped us break out of our bricks and mortar. The Healthcare Forum's coming together with the AHA's membership and its communication, advocacy and leadership resources may be the catalyst that gets healthcare into communities in a dynamic and meaningful way.
We have merged the concepts of the Healthcare Forum with the day-to-day operation realities endorsed by the AHA. We think the recent merger will help every hospital in the U.S. to learn about ideas that work and will offer dynamic improvements to health quality.
