MODERN HEALTHCARE has added three new members to its editorial staff
Wendy Anderson has joined our copy desk. Previously, Anderson held editing positions with Outside magazine, the American Bar Association publishing group and Arthur Andersen's KnowledgeSpace subscription World Wide Web site. She has taught at the graduate level at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Evanston, Ill. Anderson is a graduate of Beloit (Wis.) College.
Jim Leonardo also has joined the copy desk. He previously was an editor for Press Publications in Elmhurst, Ill., and a columnist for the Naperville (Ill.) Sun. Leonardo earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in political science from Western Illinois University, Macomb.
Ann Saphir is a newly hired Chicago-based reporter. Saphir will cover outpatient services, long-term care, home care and subacute care, as well as rehabilitation and psychiatric hospitals. She also will follow healthcare news in Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska and Texas.
Saphir recently earned a master's degree in public health at the University of California-Los Angeles. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University's East Asian studies program and worked as a journalist in Japan before entering graduate school.
