PHOENIX-Phoenix General Hospital and Medical Center earlier this month changed its name to John C. Lincoln Hospital-Deer Valley. The name change reflects a recent affiliation between the 97-bed hospital and 240-bed John C. Lincoln Hospital and Health Center, also in Phoenix, that created the John C. Lincoln Health Network. As part of the changeover, John C. Lincoln Hospital is now known as John C. Lincoln Hospital-North Mountain.
ORANGE, Calif.-Health Fitness Rehab, a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Health Fitness Corp., said it has agreed to sell its seven California outpatient clinics to Orange-based Regency Outpatient Services for $2.9 million. Four of the clinics are in Orange County, two are in Sacramento, and one is in South Lake Tahoe. Health Fitness Corp. manages 111 corporate and hospital-based fitness centers. Its rehabilitation subsidiary operates 22 physical therapy clinics.
LAS VEGAS-Brentwood, Tenn.-based American HomePatient said it has formed an alliance with the home-care division of Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp. to provide home-care services to two Las Vegas hospitals operated by the Nashville-based company. American said it will provide home respiratory and medical equipment services to 688-bed Columbia Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and 120-bed Columbia Sunrise MountainView Hospital and Medical Center. American now has 26 joint venture and alliance agreements serving 86 hospitals. It operates 312 home-care centers in 32 states.
