WATERBURY, Conn.-The Behavioral Health Institute at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury said it has signed a management contract with Elmcrest Psychiatric Institute in Portland, Conn. Elmcrest was recently acquired by St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn., for about $11 million (March 17, p. 20). Under the management agreement, Elmcrest will manage St. Mary's substance-abuse treatment programs at the hospital's center in Waterbury.
