InPhyNet Medical Management, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has signed a five-year capitated contract with Physicians Corporation of America to provide primary care to PCA's 54,000 HMO enrollees in South Florida and the Tampa area.
Terms were unavailable, but under the agreement InPhyNet will receive a per-enrollee-per-month fee for PCA's enrollees.
In a separate agreement, InPhyNet has signed a capitated contract with 320 primary-care physicians who had been under a discounted fee arrangement with PCA in South Florida and Tampa.
Miami-based PCA has 966,000 enrollees, including 360,000 in Florida. InPhyNet has capitated arrangements with two other HMOs and manages care for 120 primary-care physicians under those contracts.
