Unison HealthCare Corp., a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based long-term-care provider, signed a definitive agreement to purchase Denver-based Signature Health Care Corp.
The value of the transaction, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter, will be released when Unison files registration documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission in about two weeks, Unison President Jerry Walker said.
Signature operates 11 skilled-nursing facilities and two assisted-living facilities in Arizona and Colorado. Privately owned Signature is expected to have $45 million in revenues this year.
Unison now operates 46 skilled-nursing facilities and five independent-living facilities. Its 1996 revenues are projected to total $150 million.
