BATON ROUGE, La.-The Louisiana Business Group on Health unveiled plans to design a managed-care report card to measure satisfaction with and quality of local health plans. The project will include a survey of corporate benefit managers and employees. So far, 56 employees have committed to participating in the project. In addition, four managed-care plans have agreed to report data on seven quality indicators, such as Caesarean section rates and immunization rates. Those plans are Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Gulf South Health Plans, Healthcare Advantage and Ochsner/Sisters of Charity Health Plan. Officials said five other health plan companies were given an opportunity to participate in the program, but declined or did not respond.
