Holy Cross Hospital in Detroit will become part of the Detroit-based St. John Health System under an agreement completed last month.
The agreement was announced last October. Both are Roman Catholic hospitals serving Detroit's east side. Holy Cross is sponsored by Franciscan Services Corp. of Sylvania, Ohio, and St. John is sponsored by Sisters of St. Joseph Health System.
Holy Cross, with 295 beds, reported a net loss of $771,000 on net patient revenues of $53.1 million in the year ended Dec. 31, 1994. Its assets totaled $29.5 million.
St. John Health System has 1,322 licensed beds at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and three other hospitals in southeast Michigan. For the year ended June 30, 1995, the system reported net income of $27.8 million on net patient revenues of $454 million. St. John has $536 million in assets.
