RAHWAY, N.J.-Rahway Hospital, a 289-bed facility in Union County, became the sixth New Jersey hospital to affiliate with Robert Wood Johnson Health System. Others in the contractual network of hospitals are 389-bed Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick; 166-bed Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton; 340-bed Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton; 240-bed CentraState Medical Center in Freehold; and 461-bed Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.
NEW MILFORD, Conn.-New Milford Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center have reached a "principles of affiliation" agreement. The New York-based academic medical center said the preliminary deal will be signed by mid-July and will enable the parties to work on a more detailed affiliation agreement, which is expected to be approved in September. Until then, the two organizations will collaborate on programs and activities, Columbia-Pres-byterian said. New Milford is an 85-bed acute-care hospital. Columbia-Presbyterian operates 1,603-bed Presbyterian Hospital in New York.
NEW YORK-The International Center for the Disabled, a not-for-profit outpatient rehabilitation facility, has become an affiliate of the NYH Care Network, the healthcare provider network of New York Hospital. ICD provides medical rehabilitation, mental health, speech and chemical-dependency treatment, work-skills training and job-placement services to 4,000 people every year.
