DALLAS-The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center has signed a letter of intent with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas to form a new cancer-care program. The new cancer center, which will include inpatient and outpatient care, will be located in Dallas and jointly staffed by representatives from both institutions. M.D. Anderson is Texas' largest cancer provider with a 488-bed hospital and extensive outpatient programs. The Uni-versity of Texas Southwestern Medical Center has 900 faculty members and provides cancer services at five other Dallas hospitals.
