Robert O'Leary is the former chief executive officer of American Medical International. The Bellwether column in the April 10 issue (p. 34) erroneously identified him as former CEO of National Medical Enterprises, which acquired AMI earlier this year.
In 1994 the state medical boards of Florida and New York took disciplinary actions against nearly 1.4% and 0.65%, respectively, of those states' licensed, practicing physicians. A story on physician disciplinary actions (April 10, p. 6) incorrectly stated that nearly 14% and 6.5% of those states' doctors were affected.
HealthPartners of Southern Arizona is a member of VHA, the nation's largest hospital alliance. A story on new VHA members (April 10, p. 4) erroneously stated HealthPartners had been a member of American Healthcare Systems.
