The U.S. Treasury Department's top healthcare adviser is leaving. Marina Weiss, deputy assistant secretary for health policy in the economic policy office, will leave the department after the first of next year, though no specific date has been set.
Ms. Weiss said she hasn't settled on another job. No replacement has been named.
Another top Democratic healthcare adviser, Christine Williams, outgoing Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell's (D-Maine) top healthcare aide, will move to the federal Agency for Healthcare Policy and Research after Jan. 1, 1995. Mr. Mitchell is retiring from the Senate.
