Charles S. Lauer, publisher of Modern Healthcare and corporate vice president of Crain Communications, has been honored with two healthcare awards.
The American Academy of Medical Administrators presented its Statesman in Health Care Administration award at a conference of the American College of Cardiovascular Administrators, an AAMA affiliate, in Dallas earlier this month. The award is given to outstanding healthcare executives, according to Thomas R. O'Donovan, AAMA president.
Also, the American Institute of Architects' Academy of Architecture for Health recognized Mr. Lauer's leadership and partnership with the academy by presenting its Presidential Recognition. The award, which has been presented only three other times in the academy's 49-year history, was issued at a dinner recognizing winners of Modern Healthcare's 1994 Design Awards in Philadelphia earlier this month.
