As envisioned, Harvard's Center for the Future of Long-Term Care Systems will focus on four areas:
1. Policy and politics related to consumer values and perceptions, financing, and regulation.
2. Management of long-term-care and related institutions and their new roles in the continuum of care.
3. Research into the full spectrum of legal, regulatory, financial, work-force and work-place issues relating to long-term care.
4. Education of managers to lead the integrated institutions of the future.
