Joan McInnes Findlay, the founder and first president of Bellevue, Wash.-based Health and Hospital Services, died Sept. 22. She was 71. Ms. Findlay, a former nun, served as president of the system from 1976 to 1988. Health and Hospitals Services is a five-hospital system sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, which serves Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
