Champion Healthcare's 1993 financial results included a $15.5 million writedown from consolidation of its two Baytown, Texas, hospitals. In a story on the company's proposed merger with Atlanta-based AmeriHealth (Aug. 29, p. 4), Champion's year-end loss was reported as $12.2 million on revenues of $89.8 million. Because of space limitations, the reason for the loss was cut from the story. Houston-based Champion reported a profit of $5.2 million on operations in 1993.
Allen C. Meadors is chief executive officer of Pennsylvania State University at Altoona. His name was misspelled in a story on integrated healthcare systems (Sept. 12, p. 52).
