Last week's American Hospital Association annual convention and meeting in Dallas registered a slight increase in paid attendance to 4,100 from 3,981 last year, when the convention was held in Orlando, Fla.
Total attendance at last week's meeting, however, dropped to about 7,000 from 7,652 in Orlando. Total attendance includes exhibitors and family members of paid attendees.
The paid and total attendance figures at this year's meeting are down significantly from 1992's annual meeting in Denver. That convention was attended by 6,270 paid registrants and 9,292 people in total, including exhibitors and family members.
