National Health Investors said net income for the second quarter ended June 30 surged 75% to $9.6 million, or 56 cents per share, from $5.5 million, or 44 cents per share, in the year-ago period. Revenues increased 30% to $16.2 million.
For the six-month period, net income increased 50% to $17.7 million, or $1.10 per share, from $11.8 million, or 95 cents per share, in the same period last year. Revenues rose 33% to $31.2 million.
The Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based real estate investment trust has investments in 185 healthcare facilities in 23 states.
