A new executive has been hired to lead Hinsdale (Ill.) Hospital and parent Hinsdale Health System after the suburban Chicago healthcare providers' two top executives resigned.
Robert Sackett, 63, will serve as president and chief executive officer of the 436-bed hospital and the system.
Mr. Sackett replaces Hinsdale Health System President Charles Snyder and former Hinsdale Hospital President Ken Bauer. Both resigned earlier this year in the wake of an internal struggle over the future affiliations of the hospital.
Executives with the system's owners, Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, have said Hinsdale's new leadership would be given the authority to take charge of network affiliations (March 21, p. 33).
Mr. Sackett comes to Hinsdale from Upland, Calif., where he was president of 322-bed San Antonio Community Hospital and San Antonio Health Systems.
