Medtronic late last month announced that it has purchased a Michigan-based manufacturer of heart-surgery products for $128 million.
DLP, a privately held company with headquarters in Grand Rapids, makes tubes that connect the circulatory system to perfusion equipment during cardiac surgery. Last December, Medtronic reached an agreement to acquire another cardiac-device firm, Electromedics, for a reported $97 million.
Shareholders of the Parker, Colo.-based company will meet April 25 to vote on the transaction. Medtronic, based in Minneapolis, makes cardiovascular and neurological devices.
