Stuart J. Marylander, founder and former chief executive officer of Encino, Calif.-based Triad Healthcare, has joined Culver City, Calif.-based Country Villa Service Corp. as vice president of hospital services.
Country Villa operates 10 skilled-nursing centers and various hospital-based subacute-care units in California.
Mr. Marylander departed Triad late last year.
Triad, which Mr. Marylander formed in the early 1990s through the acquisitions of Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Hospital and Health Center and West Valley Hospital and Health Center in Canoga Park, Calif., last month filed for federal bankruptcy protection in an attempt to dodge state efforts to place the facilities in receivership.
