Trustee of the Year
Welcome to Modern Healthcare's 2012 Trustee of the Year awards competition. The awards, co-sponsored by executive search firm Witt/Kieffer, will honor four outstanding trustees this year for their contributions to healthcare governance.
Four trustees will be awarded as part of the program:
- A trustee at a large hospital (defined as those with 100 or more beds).
- A trustee at a small hospital (defined as those with fewer than 100 beds).
- A trustee at a not-for-profit healthcare system (defined as a system- or corporate-level board).
- A director at a for-profit healthcare company (defined as either privately owned or publicly traded).
Per editorial policy, sponsors are not involved in the judging or determination of award recipients. To make a nomination, send Modern Healthcare a letter no longer than five pages detailing the person's background and accomplishments in his or her role as a healthcare trustee. Letters also should include the number of years the trustee has been on the board; the name of the healthcare organization's chief executive officer; the organization's number of staffed beds, if applicable, and the contact information.
