Welcome to Modern Healthcare’s 2009 Trustee of the Year awards competition. The awards, co-sponsored by executive search firm Witt/Kieffer, will honor two outstanding trustees for their contributions to healthcare governance, one award for small healthcare organizations — those with fewer than 250 beds or less than $75 million in annual revenue — and another award for larger organizations. One honorable mention in each category will also be named.

This year's program has ended. Winners were announced and profiled in the Feb. 23, 2009, issue of Modern Healthcare.

The 2010 program will be announced this fall.
