Welcome to the Top 25 Women in Healthcare biennial recognition program.

Modern Healthcare is seeking nominations for its fourth biennial Top 25 Women in Healthcare recognition program, honoring those female healthcare executives who are making a positive difference in the industry. The magazine is seeking nominees from all sectors of the industry, including hospitals, health systems, physician organizations, insurance, government, vendors and suppliers, trade and professional organizations, and patients’ rights groups. To view the list of female healthcare executives honored in 2005, 2007 and 2009 click on the respective years above.

As with the 2005, 2007 and 2009 programs, the 2011 candidates will be judged on five criteria. The candidate must have:

  1. Successfully served as a leader or managed an organization or company.
  2. Shown the ability or power to effect change in the healthcare industry.
  3. Demonstrated a willingness to share expertise with others in the field.
  4. Served as a role model or mentor to other female healthcare executives.
  5. Assumed a leadership position in the industry outside of the candidates’ own organization or company.

The nomination period for the 2011 program will be announced in late 2010.

An editorial board consisting of senior editors on the staff of Modern Healthcare will select the Top 25 Women in Healthcare for 2011. The recipients will be announced and profiled in a future issue of Modern Healthcare.
