Ward to join Wellmont as CFO

Mark O'Neil Jr. was named market CEO of Hilton Head Regional Healthcare, which includes two hospitals and some outpatient centers. William Masterton was named CEO of one of those two hospitals, 41-bed Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville.

Tenet Healthcare Corp., Dallas, said that Gary Honts will be CEO of its Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha, Neb. Honts has been interim CEO of the 334-bed hospital since May, rejoining a hospital that he first worked at 1979, when it was known as St. Joseph Hospital.

Brazosport Regional Health System, Lake Jackson, Texas, named Chuck Jeffress to succeed Daniel Smith as chief financial officer. Michael Barger, an interim executive with Quorum Health Resources, was appointed the 148-bed hospital’s interim executive after Smith stepped down in May, a Brazosport spokesman said.
