Nominate a fast-growing company that:
- Has generated a minimum of $20 million in annual revenue in most recent fiscal year
- Operates in one of the four following sectors:
- Hospitals/hospital systems
- Physician group practices
- Payers/insurers

Q: What is the 2013 entry period
A: Nominations for 2013 Healthcare's Hottest will open March 4 and will close on May 31.
Q: When is the deadline?
A: The deadline to submit entry forms for 2013 will be May 31.
Q: What are the criteria?
A: To be eligible, companies must:
- Be headquartered in the U.S.
- Have at least $20 million in revenue for 2012, and
- Have been in business for five years or more.
Q: Is there a fee to enter/nominate?
A: No fee required.
Q: How are the results analyzed and tabulated?
A: All submitted financial documentation is tabulated and analyzed by Modern Healthcare. A sample of Modern Healthcare's tabulations may be independently assessed by an outside accounting firm.
Q: Why do I need to list five years of my company's revenue?
A: We are looking for continuously growing companies. Knowing the revenue for each year helps us calculate that growth.
Q: If my company was founded sometime during 2008 and it doesn't have a full year of revenue, is it still eligible?
A: Yes. Report what you had in revenue for the partial year and we will prorate it.
Q: What kind of financial documents do I need to provide?
A: To be eligible, privately held companies must be willing to submit audited financial statements or tax returns for evaluation by an outside accounting firm. The company does not need to send any financial documents at the time of entry.
Q: When will I be asked for these documents?
A: If your company is likely to make the list, the company will be asked to provide the financial information Mid-June. Companies that fail to provide such documentation will no longer be eligible.
