General Program Questions:
Q: What is this program about?
A: Co-sponsored by HIMSS, this award honors healthcare CEOs who demonstrate leadership and commitment to using information technology to advance their healthcare organizations' strategic goals.
Q: When is the call for entries?
A:The call for entries for the 2010 program is January 11, 2010.
Q: What are the criteria?
Open to healthcare CEOs from the provider and managed care industries. Not open to vendor organizations.
The judges review the nominees using three criteria:
The CEO demonstrated leadership and commitment to using IT to advance his or her healthcare organization's strategic goals.
The CEO helped achieve measurable results through leadership and commitment to IT in his or her organization.
The CEO shared his or her healthcare organization's IT experiences to benefit peers and other members of the healthcare industry.
The judges rate the nominees on how well they met the three criteria, using a 10-point scale for each. A perfect score is 30.
Q: When is the entry deadline?
A: The deadline for the 2010 program is March 19, 2010.
Q: How do I nominate someone?
A: To participate you will need to complete an online entry.
Q: Can I be notified of next year’s call for entries?
A: Yes. Click here to send us an e-mail and you’ll be added to our notification database. Be sure to indicate what awards program you are interested in participating.
Recognition:
Q: How and when will the winners be announced?
A: Winners will be announced first in an issue of Modern Healthcare. Then the recipients will be profiled in a special section of a later issue of Modern Healthcare.
Q: Will entrants be notified if they win/lose?
A: Announcement of winners will be made via the magazine and web site.
