Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare Conference and Gala was an educational and celebratory event to honor the best employers in healthcare.
The half-day conference was kicked off with a keynote presentation from Quint Studer, CEO and Founder of Studer Group, who delivered an invigorating presentation on the power of employee engagement and how becoming one of Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare can deliver increased financial returns and improved clinical outcomes for your organization.
The conference continued with a panel discussion on how winning organizations could leverage their "Best Place to Work" status. High-profile executives including: George Foyo, Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer, Baptist Health South Florida; Chris Karam, President & CEO, Christus St. Michael Health System; and Ken Shur, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Waynesboro Hospital/Summit Health shared their knowledge, along with moderator, Debbie Landers, Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, Community Health Systems.
Peter Burke, Co-Founder & President, Best Companies Group, shared his expertise on how companies can become future "Best Places to Work" in a session that uncovered the trends and attributes common to this year’s pool of entrants and winners.
The conference concluded with a panel discussion among CEOs regarding the role they play in creating a "Best Place to Work" environment – one that places an emphasis on tomorrow’s workforce rather than today’s. Joel Allison, President & Chief Executive Officer, Baylor Health Care System; Michael Eesley, President & Chief Executive Officer, Centegra Health System; and Teri Fontenot, President & Chief Executive Officer, Woman’s Hospital led the discussion, moderated by Fawn Lopez, Vice President & Publisher, Modern Healthcare.
After the conference, attendees extended their networking into the night at a cocktail reception and awards gala. Guests mingled with industry giants, caught up with peers and colleagues and had FUN!
