While the state and federal health insurance exchanges under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act are open for business, the number of people who will buy coverage won't be known for months. Technical glitches that have marred the opening weeks of many exchanges haven't helped with those estimates. And the final roster of states planning to expand Medicaid also remains undetermined. The industry transformation has healthcare employment experts and hiring managers bracing for major changes, but there's little consensus on what those changes will mean.
