Don’t take the winners of the 23rd annual Modern Healthcare Design Awards competition out of context. They’re fine just where they are.Whether it was the Arizona desert, the woods of Oregon, a Midwest wetland or Manhattan’s Upper East Side, contest judges appreciate how architects were able to design buildings that fit in well with their environments. They also liked how some new facilities and renovations simultaneously were able to fit in well with existing buildings while providing an updating element to aging suburban hospital campuses.
