Modern Healthcare announced this year's 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare recognition program in the April 26 issue (p. 20). From May 3 through June 11, readers nominated candidates for the recognition on the magazine's Web site, modernhealthcare.com. Readers submitted 9,611 nominations. Modern Healthcare then placed the 300 people who received the most nominations on a final ballot, also posted on modernhealthcare.com. From June 28 through July 23, readers visited the site to vote for the 10 candidates who they believe should make the final list of the 100 Most Powerful.
